Reddy Turns 7
Reddy Bikeshare reached a huge milestone Friday, marking seven years of providing convenient and eco-friendly transportation options to visitors and residents of Buffalo and Niagara Falls. To commemorate this achievement, we partnered with Slow Roll Buffalo and Destination Niagara USA on hosting the 6th annual Niagara Falls Pedal Party, July 21. The event featured a 10-mile community bike ride supported by Slow Roll Squad, making a few stops including one at a new e-bike library offered by the Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative at 1702 Pine Avenue.
Nearly 100 folks met up with us at the iconic Old Falls Street in Downtown Niagara Falls. Including retiredMayor Paul Dyster, who played a key role in helping Reddy Bikesharee expand into Niagara Falls in 2019.
Throughout the Pedal Party, Destination Niagara USA hosted its Friday Night Concert, complete with food trucks and live music from The Yachtfathers with The Bomb. Perfect for capping off the night!
The Reddy Team tabled throughout the concert, 5 PM-10 PM, informing folks that Niagara Falls residents are eligible to register for discounted $1 annual bikeshare memberships, thanks to support from the city of Niagara Falls. The team also handed out free bike lights, reflective stickers and helmets to those who needed them.
This event not only showcased Reddy Bikeshare's commitment to fostering an active and sustainable lifestyle but also highlighted the strong sense of community that has thrived over the past seven years. Cheers to our users and every partner who has made this possible! Especially our biggest partner, Independent Health, whose been with us since July 21, 2016.
