Learn More About Reddy+

Together with Independent Health, we’re thrilled to introduce Reddy+, our new, innovative pedal assist e-bike fleet. We added “plus” because it means more bikes, more active transportation, and more people finding love on two-wheels.

Launched in mid-October 2023, we’re giving Western New Yorkers a sample of the exciting future we’re building. Through the rest of this season we are slowly rolling out our first wave of Reddy+ Bikes.

Just like Reddy Bikes, users can find the location of every Reddy+ Bike on Reddy Bikeshare’s “SoBi” app. All the bikes are categorized as Class 1 e-bikes, which means the device provides a safe and gradual assist when pedaling. The rules of riding are no different than a Reddy Bike: users must obey all traffic laws and must be at least 18 years old to ride.

All Reddy and Reddy+ Bikes will be available for unlocking and usage between April and November–as weather permits. When the season completes in November, staff assemble all stations and bikes to be tuned up and repaired throughout winter. Bikes and stations are redeployed no later than April 1, 2024.
